Asser Guirgues

Head of Sales, United States

Asser brings a wealth of clinical and commercial experience to the role. Asser was previously the Chief Perfusionist at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, where he gained extensive hands-on experience in advanced cardiopulmonary support, including ECMO. This strong clinical foundation has shaped his deep understanding of the needs of healthcare professionals and patients alike.

Following this, Asser spent more than seven years at Abbott, where he held both clinical and commercial roles. During his tenure, he developed significant expertise in transplant and ECMO, including experience with the Centrimag and Eurosets oxygenators. 

Steve Dove, MA, PA, CCP Emeritus

Clinical Specialist

With a remarkable 40-year career in cardiovascular care, Steve brings a wealth of clinical expertise and leadership to our team. Trained initially as a physician assistant at Baylor College of Medicine, Steve transitioned into perfusion and spent over two decades practicing in adult and pediatric settings.

His clinical journey includes staff and chief perfusionist roles, as well as executive-level leadership across hospitals and contract perfusion services.

Steve has contributed to the field not only in the operating room, but also through governance, education, and industry innovation. He served on the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion and was Treasurer for the Florida Perfusion Society. He’s also published in Perfusion, JECT, and AmSECToday, and is a recipient of the Mary Lois Martin Achievement Award.

For the past seven years, Steve worked with Terumo Cardiovascular as a Principal Clinical Specialist, supporting clinicians with advanced product training and education across the U.S.

Lee Bowns, Global Sales Director, Chalice Medical Limited

Lee is an experienced sales professional with over 20 years in the MedTech industry, specialising in the cardiovascular and perfusion markets.

An accomplished manager, he brings deep market and product knowledge, alongside a strong track record of driving international growth. Lee has successfully launched life-changing technologies that deliver for both patients and healthcare professionals.

Lee joined the Chalice Medical Limited Board of Directors in 2018, where he utilizes his industry expertise and strategic insight to support the continued global product innovation and expansion.

Rory Dennis is a qualified member of the ICAEW, having trained as a Chartered Accountant at RSM in the UK. Rory joined Chalice in February 2024 to support the global growth ambitions of the company and drive improved financial performance.

Prior to Chalice, Rory spent over 15 years working in professional services, advising entrepreneurial clients on how to achieve their goals across multiple sectors.

More recently, Rory has worked in-house for several privately owned businesses with a market presence in the US and global growth ambitions.
